The center of Prague will soon be accomodating the offices of two Taiwanese banks, which would open the door to new investors for modern technologies.
The semi-state Taiwan Cooperative Bank and the state-owned Taiwan Export-Import Bank intend to establish branches in Prague. "Within the EU, we have one branch in Brussels that serves Western Europe. Now, we're considering expanding operations to Central and Eastern Europe. And we selected Prague as the Czech Republic is the most industrialized and developed economy in the region, "says HN Paul Lei, CEO of Taiwan Cooperative Bank.
